How Does The Ultra Allergen Reduction Filter Help Clean The Air In My Home?
When your heat or central air conditioning is on, or if you run your fan continuously, air circulates in your home and passes through your air filter. Filtrete™ filters from 3M contain permanently electrostatically charged fibers that work like tiny magnets to attract and capture the particles in your air. Each of the filters in the Filtrete product line perform differently to meet various needs that people have. The following table (on packaging) shows types of particles that may be in the air in your home. These particles are measured in microns. Did you know that a human hair is about 70 microns in diameter? Particles smaller than one micro are most important to capture because they make up 99% of the number of particles in your air and can be breathed deep into the lungs.
